Made up a couple of "arches" from 4130. Cut from 0.100" 4130 about 1" wide, and 40" long. Matched the wing root shape. Thought is to make an "L" section to support the skylight. Highly visible section, so little more time.
Comment" with a band saw, cutting something that shape is a piece of cake. With a jig saw, I went though 10 blades, and what a pain to cut out. Really would love a Nice Do All, but starting to limit what I bring home and put into the shop.
UPDATE: After spending hours and time in cutting to nice arc, welding a top "T" to them... too much distortion welding (sigh!) to fit correctly. Also suspect issues with the Aeirlon cables will crop up when wings are fitted. Scrapped this idea and went with 0.5" x 0.5" square 4130 tubing.
