Brief Description:  #6 vs #8 screws.... Why Bob used #6

Flobbydust (i.e. misc. things are are interesting, but don't belong anywhere)

"The Bob" likes#6 screws. I have a hard time with them, and prefer larger #8.

#8 counter sunk screws
100 nut plates - 169g
100 screws 160g

#6 screws
100 nut plates - 51g
100 screws 100g

So per 100 - 329g vs 151g

With 450 nut plates per Bearhawk, 801g difference so about 1.8 pounds (nothing to sneeze at!)

While I don't care for the tiny #6 screws, The #8 screw add weight.

NOTE: Floobydust... first time I heard the term was from Bob Pease, who I worked with at National Semiconductor in the early 1980's. Bob recently passed away and is greatly missed, but every plane needs a little floobydust in its build log.
