Finished final drilling the spar and the reinforcements. I bucked my first rivets tonight by assembling the HS411 elevator bracket and bearing. I wanted to get a feel for working with the Sherwin-Williams self-etching primer (GBP-988). So I deburred all the holes and cleaned up the edges before priming. The primer goes on evenly and smoothly. The primer is chock full of acetone, xylene, tolulene and MEK... so the stuff dries fast! Primed parts were ready to handle in about 15 minutes.I cleco'd everything together to see how it looks. Wow, it looks like part of an airplane!
