- Removed Avco-Lycoming rocker covers and installed SDS rocker covers with o-ring gaskets
I like the SDS rocker covers because they incorporate the use of a reusable o-ring style gasket. This is a far better design than the cork gaskets used on the Lycoming rocker covers. In fact, this gasket/cover design is used in multiple places in different industries, one of those being electrical enclosure covers for motors being used in explosive environments. If you are reading this and you haven't switched to this style of gasket and cover for your engine, please consider doing so as soon as you can.
