The resin that I mixed yestarday to attach the skirt halves together was still wet.
Stefan King came to help. Reading the can of resin revealed the problem. The harder I used was West 206 which is a slow working hardner and does not work below 60 degrees F. I need 205 hardner for lower temps and a faster cure.
I also discovered that some of the resin had gotten on the aluminum skin of the airframe. I went to Lowes and got acetone which I used to clean the uncured resin from the metal.
Stefan told me of a neat trick. Instead of using straps etc to hold the skirt pieces in place while the resin cures enough to hold the pieces in place, I could use super glue to tack the pieces together. While at Lowes I bought some super glue.
