Brief Description: First dimple and set up countersink in HS-710 and
I'm not sure if I log the time where I'm staring at other builder's work pages (a great idea to share techiques I should add!), but I do run back and forth between bench and computer just to compare. One thing that I needed to check a few times was that the 4 middle rivet holes will have the AN426AD4-6 rivet there will be put on backwards (from the others at least) with the factory (flush) end dimpled into the HS-702 spar flanges. The dimpler was used for the first time on the real plane at this point - after idiot checking several times to make sure I was on the right side of the aluminum sheet. Next I will cut the countersinks in the HS-710/714 spars, probably after some test drills first.
