Started fresh today and cut an 1/8" shim to allow the canopy latch weldment to miss the center flap motor brace. Drilled the two blocks, and fabricated the steel straps to attach the weldment to the opening mechanism. Drilled and tapped the rod that goes to the front handle assembly.
