Brief Description: Changed out valve cover gaskets
I don't care for the cork gaskets that come from Lycoming for their valve covers, so I picked up some silicone gaskets several years ago. I have them on my RV-4, and they stopped seepage from the valve covers nicely... By the way, the valve cover gaskets are not symmetrical. The silicone gaskets will actually fit either way (because the silicone can be stretched slightly to work), but they fit perfectly only on one side. Found that out after I installed the first one the wrong way, and noticed the second 'fit' much better.
