I built the platform for my DRDT-2 today. The construction was not that bad, but I filled my garage with sawdust. I hate mixing woodworking and airplane construction. I guess I need ANOTHER garage to hold my woodworking shop. I am worried a little bit about my construction though; the base is made out of good 3/4" MDF but the center section is made out of cheap particle board from some old Wal-Mart shelving I have in the corner. I just know it is going to break apart someday when I am in a hurry. Next: start on the vertical stab! (I know. I am going out of order from the directions. I am rebel...)
