My next words were “I'll take it”. He says “Ok, fine. Don't you want to see it first?”. “Nope, Its mine and I'll buy it”. His next words were “Well, the person that buys it is the person that puts money in my hand first”. Crap. I live only an hour from Jerry but I'm currently on travel 3 times zones away. What to do. I'll call my wife Stephanie for help. The conversation was something like “Hey Steph. Found a engine and project on the web, could you please, please, grab $25,000 in cash and take it over and give it to Jerry right away to secure the deal?”.
She had a few thinks to say of her own but at the end of the call she agreed to help and would do what I asked. Wow, thank you Stephanie. Within 3 hours, money was exchanged and the deal was done. What have I done?
