I started on the right wing spar today. I spent some time trying to build a jig to help hold the spar in place while drilling but it didn't work well. I ended up just using a bunch of 2X4 pieces I cut to fit between the inside edges of the spar caps but still allowed the tang of the spar cap to rest on them.
The main work I started was drilling the spar caps, using the main spar web as pilot holes. I got about 1/3rd of the spar cap drilling done. I was quite nervous about starting this but once I got into it, it wasn't too bad.
