Brief Description: Temporarily installed both elevators on horizontal
Made a bolt holding tool to install elevators bolts. After trying several times, it was necessary to fabricate something to help with the installation. After installation, I leveled the Horizontal stab. I then aligned the trailing edge of both elevators to within 1/16". Clamped in place and Marked for drilling the center bearing bolt location in the control horn shown in picture 1. Unassembled/ drilled/ reassembled, the elevators after reassembly stayed within the original 1/16" difference from tip to tip level indicator. Picture 2 with elevators temporarily installed with trim tab attached to left elevator. Picture 3, free movement thru both up travel adn down.
