I taped the mylar drawing #4 to a piece of 3/4" oak plywood scrap that I had, and then used a brad point drill bit and poked a hole every 1/4" or so following the outline, then the spar and rib centrelines and all the hole centers. Then i removed the myler and using a extra fine Sharpie i traced the outline following the holes punched into the plywood.
I didn't want to cut up the mylar so I used this method to transfer the rib to the plywood. Next I'll cut the rib to shape on the bandsaw and sand it to match the traced line. Then I'll drill all the appropriate holes and insert drill guide bushings so i don't enlarge the holes. I'll use this rib as my router pattern to make all the other rib patterns and forms.
