Brief Description: Rivet on top rib and scotchweld trailing edge
I started off this morning by taking all the clecoes out of the top of the rudder that hold on the 903 rib. I then cleaned out all the holes from the excess scotchweld and squeezed all of the rivets with my pnuematic squeezer. Then....I realized I screwed up!!!!!!!!!!! in the directions it talks about drilling out the last 3 holes and enlarging them....well I did that....but it was the wrong "last 3 holes" After I calmed down, I realized that you were not going to see these rivets because they would all be covered with fiberglass when I installed the rudder tip....whew I used CS4_4 pop rivets wich worked out great.....till the last one...........i had to take out the rivet shank and cut the -4 to more of a -3......It worked!!!!!!!!!! Then I mixed up some scotchweld and glued the trailing edge just like the majority of people have done. Ill let it sit till Monday and see what we have.....so far, seem to be straight.
oops...My "last 3" screw up
Used wood blocks to hold open skin while i spread scotchweld
