Brief Description: Painting wingtips and aileron stripes
As mentioned in earlier entries I have been having issues with the finish quality in trying to paint trim stripes and the wingtips. I did some careful investigation and discovered that the HVLP spraygun I have been using has gone south. Long story made short, I went back to an old tried and true gun that I have had for some time, and instantly the finish issues were resolved.
I shot two coats on the ailerons and wingtip, and they now look as I had hoped, not perfect, but nice and glossy, matching the areas of the wings they are beside.
