Brief Description:  Install 1/4-turn fittings in boot cowl

Today I installed the 1/4-turn fittings in the boot cowl. These fitting will be used to hold the upper and lower engine cowling in place. After completing all of the fittings, I fitted the cowl back into place, inserted clecos in all the attach points, and started work on the Joel Milloway glare-shield modification.

This modification moves the instrument panel into a more upright position closer to a 90 degree angle to the pilots line of sight. This moves the panel closer and makes the instruments, radio and transponder easier to reach. It also eliminates the reflection of the lighted instruments in the windshield during night-flight. The glare-shield fit almost perfectly. I next began to work on modifying the instrument panel to fit in the new location.
