Today I worked on fitting the trim piecs for the right door. I also started the installation of the lexan window in that door.
If you are a builder looking at this post, one thing to watch for is the lack of instructions in the manual regarding the need for a spacer bushing in-between the fitting on top of the door and the fitting welded to the top of the fuselage frame. The entire instructions for fitting the trim pieces do not mention this part, then it is mentioned in the section on door installation. If the door is not properly spaced with the bushing to appropriately center the door in the opening it seems that the forward trim piece will not be of adequate width, or that it is too wide. The forward trim piece has to be fitted and trimmed to match the contour of the windshield and windshield trim piece.
