Brief Description:  Page 307 Mounting the Viking Engine 2

August 9 2013 continued.

Mounting the Viking Engine 2

I moved the plane under the hanging engine and lowered it, but the front mount hit the Pylon Side Panel angles first. I had to lift the tall and sit it on a stand to get the back mount on first.
After struggling with the back bolt for 10 minutes I finally got it in.
Next was getting the front mount to line up with the center mark and drill the hole on the right side.
I had a hard time getting the front mount to line up on the left center and had to push up on the engine to drill the left side hole.
Once the holes were drilled it started to rain and I had to scramble to find something to cover the nose of the plane since I could not move it back into the garage. It got all my Dynon stuff on the avionics tray wet.
I struggled with the front bolt for 20 minuets before I got it in.

I did a video of the process but its an hour long, so I cant post it with out editing.
