Filing down the Static Port
At the Progressive Aerodyne Open House in November, I saw the Searey had changed the Static Port. They had a Static Port that did not have the half washer part on it any more. When I asked about it, They said it was not needed and the calibration was better with out it. Of course, I had bought the old one a few months ago.
I filed the high part off and sanded it smooth. I then put some caulking on them and installed them.
