The next step I did on the bench with a few checks on the engine and cowling. I bolted the filter assembly together, traced the outline of the inlet scoop in a piece of fiberglass and started adjusting the opening of the air box to match the cowl scoop opening. I had to cut the side of the fiberglass VA-130-A as shown in the pictures. Positioned the forward end so the height of the opening was correct.
