Brief Description:  Prop offset jig

Built a jig for simulating the prop offset for constant speed prop. I followed VAN's instructions for simulating the prop for fitting the cowl. Purhased some hardware store bolts and a couple of feet of white PVC pipe (3/4"). I cut 6 pieces of PVC pipes that were 2 1/4" length with square ends. Placed the PVC pipes between the spinner back plate and the crank shaft ring gear and fastened these pieces together with the hardware store bolts (2 3/4" lenght) using the ring gear bolt threads. Also made a short 1 3/4" ID PVC pipe that fits the crankshaft hole to center the spinner back plate. Enlaged the outside diameter of the PVC pipe to fit the crankshaft hole and the center hole on the back plate. Now I am ready to start fitting the cowl to the fuselage. As VANS suggested I did not install anything on the engine except the alternator.
