Brief Description:  Mount alternator

After all the test fitting there was no choice but to see how the final installation looks. I joggled the VA-152 arm, and made the support strut. After looking at the short (2") support strut and the fact that I needed to offset one end from the other end by about 1/4" I elected to make a solid washer from the leftover aluminum (which is 1/4" thick). Then I gued the washer on the VA-152 arm. Painted everything with engine block paint. Installed all the pieces and low and behold I came up about a 3/4" movement for the alternator. It looks like I will be able to tension the belt, but it better be tight at the beginning. The bolts for the base barcket were toruqed (90 in/lbs) and the lock plate tabs were bent up to lock the bolts. The other bolts were hand tightened because the belt will have to be tghtened. On to the carb
