Today I made a bracket from a pice of scrap aluminum to hold the connectors. To cut the hole for the connectors was extremely tedious. I decided to come as close to the outline of the connector ends as I could. After I was satisfied that both ends of the connector fit and fully close I bent the bracket as shown on the picture and shortened the lond side a bit.
