Took me a little time to decide how to terminate the Garmin 496 harness. Decided to use a 9 pin sub-D connector. The #24 or #26 wires were a nightmare to strip. Also cut off the inline fuse since it will not be needed. The wires on the right side of the completed connectors are #22.The pictures below show what I did.
