Brief Description:  Filter bypass door

Making filter bypass door. Project the outlines of the carburator inlet circle to the inside bottom of the Air Box. I used a right angle to do this marking several points along the circle and finding the center of the circle. Drilled a #40 hole at this location. Reassemble the whole FAB box together. Drill a #40 hole in a small piece of 2x4 in the drill press assuring vertical orientation. By placing the 2x4 on the bottom of the Air Box and and lining up the two #40 holes drill a #40 hole in the VA-130D bottom plate. This will properly center the hole on the VA-130-D. Next enlarge the hole in the bottom of the Air Box to 2 11/16" using a 2 5/8" hole saw. Position the VA-199A Air Inlet on the bottom of the Air Box (the lip of the Air Inlet should match the hole just drilled). After proper alignment match drill #30 the VA-199A Air Inlet to the bottom of the Air Box (we will use these holes to blind rivet the Air Inlet to the Air Box). Match drill #40 the nutplate attach hole in the Air Box. Match drill #19 the screw hole for the nutplates in The Air Box. This screw will be used as a pivot point for the VA-192B Filter Bypass Door.
