Drill the rivet location for the front gear leg fairing. This was a lot harder than on the main gear leg fairing. Very tight and not much give to spread the two sides to get acceptable work space. I made a small wood piece to place between the fairing sides, positioned the hinge as marked yesterday, clamped the two edges and drilled the two outside holes. After clecoing these holes I used lockable pliers to hold the fairing and the hinge together while drilling the rivet holes. Cleaned up the hinges from burrs and reinstalled them on the fairing. Next I countersunk the river holes in the fairing and riveted the two together. While drilling, countersinking and riveting I kept on checking the fit by reinstalling the hinge pin. The trailing edge of the fairing looks good. Sanded the trailing edge as per VANS instruction manual.
