Made additional hold down clips and started installing them on forward fuselage skin. The hold down clips shown on the plans had to be bent to better hold the windscreen to the fuselage skin. I had to make them more “Z” shape than depicted on the plan (Drawing 43). This was probably necessary because I did not want to shape the windscreen edge at a high angle. Shaping the hold down clips was time consuming. Initially I drilled the clips to the fuselage skin using the #40 drill bit. Later I will drill this out to #30 for the blind rivet. To drill the clips was tricky because I had to hold, put pressure on the windscreen and drill at the same time. After fitting and drilling the clips I painted the back side of the clips black to match the black color of the glare shield. I also plan to tint the resin hardener mix black.
