Talked to Carlos at Grand Rapids Avionics and he feels that the GPS and EFIS software is not setup correctly. Yesterday I found some incompatibility between the two units. Bob Eggelston will come out tomorrow and we will try to address these issues. At the suggestion of Carlos I made the connector between the GPS and SL30 removable by installing a connector. For now I left this not connected. This connector is easily accessible behind the avionics panel.
