I decided to redesign the wiring behind the main panel so that the panel could be removed entierly if needed. It took a number of days (9 to the 13th) to figure this out and put it on paper and in practice. I ended up using several connectors to accomplish the task. All wires that go to the panel will be on one side of the connector. The other side will contain the wires that are internal to the airplane. This way simply disconnecting the connectors will allow me to remove the panel for service. This task is still time consuming but it can be done.
