The lack of adaquate down elevator travel has two explanations. The F711E down elevator stop has to be trimmed back to provide adaquate travel for the elevator horns. The other restriction is along the seat ribs. The seat rib access holes and some of the access plates has to be adjusted to provide more movement for the F665 pushrod. Figuring out this problem and opening up the access holes took the better part of the day. Since I took off the elevators I had to make a jig to replicate the elevator horn. I used this jig to check how much to adjust the seat rib holes.
