I made the radiator protector out of scrap 1/8" plywood with some slight modifications. I cut the plywood to the total dimensions but did not cut out the 'ears'. Instead, I cut a semi-circle where the PSRU would contact the plywood.
I glued the 3"x3" blocks, nailed, and screws were added.
This plywood had a white coating on one side and I added "Remove before Flight" using sticky letters for mailboxes. I then spray painted the protector red.
