I began the search for the missing internal snap ring for the rotor side pre-rotator. I found a much larger one and began looking for it belonged. To my dismay, it belonged to the engine side prerotater which was already complete (or so I thought).
I tapped out the pulley on the engine side and discovered I did not have a tool large enough for that size retaining ring. I put the ring into a vise and squeezed it together and put safety wire through the 'eyes' and twisted it. Then I drop the ring into position and cut the wire. This method worked beautifully.
I used a large C clamp to put it back together.
Still never found the missing retaining ring, so I plan to go to Whisler Bearing tomorrow.
