The wire harness for the radio was very difficult to troubleshoot and the problems were getting worst, so I decided to start over. At one point, the radio would not turn on and I was afraid I blew the internal 10a fuse. However, the radio worked with a known go test setup harness. Thank you Jesus. I desoldered the 15 pins and connect the power leads. The radio did work so I felt better. I will continue tomorrow.
I soldered the terminals for the GX2 for power and ground. Not much accomplished for the amount of time spent.
