The profile of my first trim tab was short by about 2mm on the 57mm bottom length. I also put a crease in the upper skin when bending it down so so scrapped it.
Blanked and bent a second tab with much better results. The 3 bends were made in sequence by moving the metal out from under the bend plate for each successive bend. The calculations for sight lines are a little different when moving the material this direction in the brake. Profile was almost exactly to print. I managed to get a small crease in this top skin of this tab also; not perfect but I can live with it.
Cut a length of hinge and centered it on the trim tab. Marked the 40 pitch rivet line, clamped hinge in position and drilled 3/32" holes. Used a "sleeve" on the drill to prevent it from cutting into the front web of the tab.
