Brief Description:  Stabilizer Doublers

Scored four blanks for doublers 5HD, 6HD and 7HD from 0.040" centering each score line on the developed length line (blank width) of 34mm as shown on drawing. Bend calculator gives a value of 33.4mm so after scoring and deburing the part should be close to the calculated dl. Bent the 5HD's on the brake with a little help from some 1/8" and 1/4" thick strips of OSB to tweek the bend angle along the entire length to achieve the 96 degree angle specified.

Tip: Measure all 4 score lines off of a single edge (datum). Score all lines lightly - 3 or 4 passes - then go deep on the second line to bend off blanks 1 and 2 in a single piece. Go deep again on the forth line to bend off blanks 3 and 4. Bend two doublers from one blank then deepen the score in the middle to separate them. This makes for a straighter, less bowed part than trying to bend each one as a single part.
