Today I used some left over materials to create a heavy-duty binder to hold my set of 11x17 plans. Using the Olfa knife I cut three pieces of thick aluminum - left from a large outdoor sign made for my company - to form the top, bottom and end plates. Lengths of hinge cut from my bending brake hinges were used to create the folds. Had to purchase a 3-ring binder to harvest the mechanism. Parts were mated, drilled, deburred and primed with a self-etching Rust-0leum. The parts were joined using the same A5 rivets that will be used to build the 650. Everything fit great. After a coat of paint it will be ready for use; provided I can locate some protective sleeves for the drawings.
