Today, I cut the end ribs of the fuel tank using a fly cutter. I then attached the back plates and drilled all plate nut holes. I then smoothed the edges of the holes using an emory cloth and a scotchbrite wheel in a die grinder. I also smoothed the interior of the back plate using the scotchbrite wheel. I then deburred all holes in the ribs and dimpled the rivet attachment holes.
