Fabricated two 1" by 1/4" metal shims to prevent the fairing mount from flexing during drilling. Also cut two 7/8 x 7/8 x1 1/4" wood blocks.
Marked the screw locations on the fairing brackets. Inverted wheel pants in v-block and marked center line mark on front fairing.
Installed spacer on to of wheel. Postioned aft fairing marked gear leg interference. Enlarged opening for gear leg. With aft faring in proper rotation reference to wheel, installed front fainring and englarged gear leg opening. With both halves in place marked tire opening, removed fairing and trimmed to 5/8" clearance minimum. Repeated above steps for right fainring.
Using template from plans, marked both left and right gear leg faings. Trimmed both and place on gear legs to check fit.
