Brief Description: Cowling Day #52 and Turbo--sort of
Pulled cowling of airframe. Trimmed and sanded newly added layer. There were several air voids so I ground them out with and sanding drum and reglassed those specifice areas with another layer.
Cut the soric inner layer and next layer of glass.
Picked up New Flight approved turbo from UPS. Prepped it for clocking and noticed one of the exhaust studs was bent--- :-(.
I had not dropped it and UPS had not destroyed the box so I don't have a clue what happened. Back it goes for replacement or repair. :-(.
Didn't get much down after that discovery- didn't feel like glassing.
