Before leaving for a 6-day trip today, I cut all the individual insulation segments that will be glued to the aft side of the firewall. These pieces will be installed after all engine cables and mounted equipment is installed on the firewall.
I am also testing a small piece to see if my 3M 2000+ degree sealant will adher the insulation to the firewall. Initial status is it will work good, just waitng to see if it will cure completely.
