Dane Patterson (RV-8 builder and all around nice guy) came over to help me finish the brake system. We inspected and tightened all B-nuts. Then filled and tested brakes. No leaks and pedals are very firm. Brakes system is complete!
Then I moved onto the control system. Van's sent me a new stick and after testing install, I decided to replace the old left stick with the new version. While not exactly even, split is now only 5/8" instead of 2". Removed stick pivot and match drilled the new stick #12 with the pivot. Deburred both and re-installed stick pivot. Installed both control sticks and adjusted connecting rod until both sticks were same distance apart. Tightened jam nuts on connecting rod and installed bolts connecting boths sticks together.
