Brief Description:  Riveted left aileron brace and aileron gap seal

Tonight I riveted on the flap brace and aileron gap seal to the rear spar of the left wing. The aileron gap seal goes on easily with the pneumatic rivet squeezer. Just make sure to follow the plans for the different size rivets at the different locations. They are not all the same. Ask me how I know (I am now a master at drilling out rivets). Next, I match drilled, deburred, scuffed and dimpled the flap brace and aileron gap seal for the right wing. Following the advice I received from Gus at Vans, I drilled another 3/16" hole close to the rivet that lacked the proper edge distance. It looks fine. No time to prime tonight. I'll get to it tomorrow. Finally, I heard from master builder Jeff Gross today. He e-mailed me photos of his newly painted RV-8A, "Object of Desire". It is a stunner. I hope he posts photos on his web site (http://members.ispwest.com/jgross/flying/) soon. His web site and others (Jaimie Painter, Dan Checkoway and others) are a real inspiration to me.
