Brief Description:  table levelers and center legs

after manufacturing the stabilator, I realized that the table needed to be tweaked a bit. It was pretty flat, but still sort of wavy across its surface. I decided to install a permanent center leg under both halves to help make leveling easier. I them used 1/2" lag bolts tpo screw into the bottoms of all the lags to help with leveling. I used the center wing spar that came completed from the factory and a long aluminum level to help get everything straight and true. I started with all lag botls screwed in all the way, then slowly backed them out a bit at a time as I went around and leveled all parts of the table. Afterward, I realized that I should have done this right when I built the table. I had installed the spar extension using the table as it was before. After leveling everything I Iaid the spar (with attached extension) on the newly leveled table and my heart sank. The spar extension was totally unlevel in relation to the rest of the spar! Long story short, I had to drill out the rivets and detach the spar extension. I now have to order replacement parts to make a new spar extension so I can re-attach it in-line with the main spar. Oh well. You live and you learn. At leasty I caught it before getting too far along in the process.
