Brief Description:  Paint Booth - Part 2.

This weekend I finished up the air supply systems for the paint and the painter.

I have about 50 feet of copper tubing at an angle along the back wall of the booth with drain valves at the low points. The intention is to allow the compressed air to cool and the moisture to condense before it gets to the desiccant filter.

I learned to solder plumbing by working at my dads water softener shop in Jr. High school - I was thrilled that after 35 some years my work was found to be leak free on the very first try.....

I have a sharp filter setup inside the booth to ensure clean dry air to the gun.

I put a hobby air fresh air supply system on the top (outside) of the booth so I can breath deeply and live to tell about it.

My paint booth project has turned out to be a little excessive. It will be a shame to tear it down and throw it away, but I will need the room after the project is done. If anybody is looking for a paint booth next spring / summer, give me shout and we could probably work out a pretty sweet deal.

The next two weekends are full of family activities, and then the paint will be flying. I am hoping that I can get all the major parts painted except the cowl before the Minnesota winter arrives.
