Picked back up finishing the right elevator. Not enough room to build both at the same time. Right elevator has less steps due to no trim tab. Jumps forward pretty quick in the plans.
9-06 Assembled the ribs and rear spar to the bottom skin. Clecod front spar also.
Right counterbalance rib clecod in place and match drilled some holes. Installed top skin and 1423 trailing edge. Sanded down the end of the trailing edge at the fairing. Went much better compared to the Left side. Installed the WD-605 R Elevator horn and match drilled the 12 holes.
Continued on 9-09 step 3 and deburred all parts. Dimpled all the #40 holes in the counterbalance skins. Dimpled all the holes in the top and bottom skins. Dimpled the aft spar holes. Dimpled counterbalance ribs. Dimpled all the ribs. Dimpled all the 100 holes in the forward spar.
Scuffed areas where ribs will be going. Taped off scuffed areas and trailing edge for priming.
