Brief Description: Welding and a Very Large Access Panel
It's been several days of welding practice, and I'm starting to really understand the complaint about FCAW welding being smokey. Like even with face masks, not the most fun. In any event, my welding continues to improve. Glacially slowly, but there you go.
Tired of welding straight lines, I went back and built the starboard fuselage nose panel. The plans call for this to be permanent, but there really isn't any other way to get to the brakes. So I've installed Rivnuts and built the forward fuselage panels as very large access panels. When maintenance time rolls around, hopfully this makes my life easier. Right now I've got as many screws in place as I have.
Note to self; go pick up more 10-24 stainless screws.
