Today was the task that sends chills up builder's spines: cutting the canopy. If you screw up and crack it then its $1000 for a new one.
-fit uncut canopy to fuse over 1/8" spacers made from garden hose to allow for Sikaflex glue fillet -inserted cardboard between slider frame and roll bar used to mark the cut line -heated the hangar to 75 degrees and then put a space heater underneath to get the plexi up to 90 degrees -cut with cutoff wheel on mini die grinder, then finished edges with belt sander (new tool), then sanding discs and scotchbrite wheel on the die grinder.
