I had been awaiting a replacment hinge which finally arrived looking like a pretzel and was unusable. A quick call to Van's got another piece on the way.
I decided to work on the tailcone some, but promptly miscut the taper on the tie-down bracket, and ruined that piece. Another parts order and more delays.
I worked little over the following week until the new hinge, which was again damaged but usable, came in along with my replacment parts for the tie-down bracket.
This weekend was the first major productivity in a couple of weeks. Completed drilling the replacement hinge and was able to final rivet the horizontal stabilator which is now complete.
Will begin work on the new tie-down bracket next and then on to the rest of the tail cone.
