A ton of work since my last log entry. I've found it very difficult to keep track of my time because I'll work a little then go to the computer and check on various things on the internet. I'm trying very hard not to get in too big of a hurry. As it is, I've only paused to make this entry because I ran into a stopping point on a pice of hinge that I misdrilled back on the AST parts and my replacement hinge won't be here for another 5 days.
I have been working on the stabilator these last few days. A lot of ribs and a lot of deburring and prep before priming. Tony Heras, a good friend, came over today and helped with the rib preparation, priming and riveting of the stabilator skeleton. The stabilator skeleton is now comlete.
I may jump ahead and prep some of the tailcone parts while I'm waiting on my replacement hinge.
I faxed my order for the wing kit today. Van's is showing an 8 week lead time so even with the current delay, I will have to wait quite a while between kits.
