Sounds like it is okay to either add an additional washer bewteen the hinge bracket and hinge assembly or allow the hinge bracket to bend slightly when torquing the hinge bolt(s). Removed forward flange from bottom rudder rib, per instructions. Deburred rudder ribs. Attempted to rivet spar caps and rudder rib to rudder spar. Had difficulty. Need to talk to Van's."
